We routed ourselves to take a ferry across Lake Champlain from Essex, New York to Charlotte, Vermont. We could have driven around and across one of the bridges that connected New York and Vermont, but it was a two lane road with lots of small towns along the way. This was a slight shortcut. It was an adventure and that was its’ purpose. We love an adventure!
We have been trekking our way from Minnesota to Vermont. Along the way we stopped at interesting places. Again, we were tourists at historical sites.
While in Lockport, New York, we also visited the downtown area and the Erie Canal Locks called the “Flight of Five”. We were lucky to have a couple of tour boats coming into the locks and watched as they were lowered into the lower locks and progressing down through the Erie Canal. Continue reading

We spent a week in the Orlando, Florida area during a difficult time. They were reeling from three horrendous happenings. Continue reading
