Nibletts Bluff Campground

Nibletts Bluff Campground near Vinton, Louisiana

We found this to be a nice surprise on our way back from New Orleans toward Texas.  It is a County Campground on the Sabine River.  With all of the rain, the river was high, had crested and was receding by the time we checked into the park.  The river water level did not interfere with the fishermen with their flat bottom boats.  It was an active boat dock.

The facility has group camp sites, individual tent sites and assorted RV spots.  Also in place is a nice playground for the children and farm animals in pens for the amusement of our walks.

It is a small campground and it was busy but not crowded.  This is the off season.  It is tidy, well kept, the sites are roomy and each site has fire rings, BBQ pits, and many shade trees. Services are 50 A electric and water, no sewer connections.  There is no Wi-Fi nor did my Verizon cell phone work

We will likely stay here again on our across the country treks.  The rate is $12 per night plus tax for a sum of $13.59!  Limit of stay is 14 days.
