My new and improved juicer!
I upgraded my vegetable juicer of fourteen years to a Kuvings Slow Juicer. It is a bit pricy but I like the ease of adding veggies to the over-size inlet and the shorter clean-up time involved, plus it is quieter and faster.
I think that it helps my digestive system and I find that I don’t have as many cravings for sweets and I have more energy. Fortunately, I have a storage spot in the RV kitchen cupboard in which to store it when not in use. I like to keep the RV counter tops as clear of items as possible.
Now that we are traveling full-time, I must take extra good care of myself. We stop at roadside vendors, farmer markets and local grocery stores for the freshest of fruits and vegetables. The deliciousness is not lost in juicing and more of the vitamins get into my digestive system.
My favorite vegetable juice is 3 carrots, 1 apple, a pinch of fresh ginger and a wedge of lemon, with a little rind.
The juice that seems to be the most helpful to me is adding a couple of handfuls of spinach to the above recipe.
My favorite fruit juice is 2 cups of fresh pineapple, 1 apple and a handful of grapes.
I passed on the older juicer (it still worked fine) to a-grand-daughter, who will likely get some good use out of it.
